Wi-Fi Streaming Issues

Your dual-lens security camera uses standard 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, which occasionally suffers packet loss due to household RF noise. Originally, these drops caused ffmpeg decode errors, causing the Frigate system loop to drop the camera stream completely.

Stability Tuning Config

To resolve this, we configured the sub-stream with custom timeout settings, enabled go2rtc loopback connections, and tuned the ffmpeg arguments:

• Lowered fps to 5 on the sub-stream to minimize packet demand.
• Forced rtsp_transport: tcp in ffmpeg command options.
